We currently offer online uncontested divorce services in seven U.S. states. Each state has its own legal process, requirements, and court procedures — and we tailor our service to meet those unique standards while keeping everything easy, fast, and remote for our clients.
Below is an overview of what to expect in each state we serve:
Alabama
In Alabama, uncontested divorce can be filed without any court appearances as long as both spouses agree on key issues. While most counties accept e-notarization, some require in-person notarization. We guide you through all filing and notarization steps based on your assigned judge and county rules.
Florida
Florida allows completely remote uncontested divorces, including online notarization. No court hearings are required when documents are correctly prepared and submitted. Clients answer a detailed questionnaire, review their forms online, and finalize the process with our virtual notarization and e-filing support. Parenting Plans and Child Support Worksheets are required when children are involved.
Georgia
Georgia is an equitable distribution state, meaning assets and debts are divided fairly (not always 50/50). The divorce follows a two-step filing process: first, submitting the notarized petition and waivers; then, filing the final paperwork after a 30-day waiting period. All documents must be notarized in person. QDROs may be needed for 401(k) division, though we don’t draft them.
Maryland
Maryland allows no-fault, uncontested divorces when couples agree on all terms and meet the state’s residency rules. Online notarization is permitted. Our platform handles document drafting and filing preparation. Final judgments are issued by the court after document review—typically without the need for a court appearance if everything is in order.
New York
In New York, uncontested divorce can be filed even if only one spouse is participating — provided proper service is made and there is no objection. All required documents must be signed and notarized in person. We assist with preparing the Summons, Complaint, Waiver, and Final Judgment. Service by Publication is also available if the spouse cannot be located.
Texas
Texas requires all documents to be signed and notarized in person. Clients receive a full set of divorce forms, including the Original Petition for Divorce, Waiver of Service, Final Decree of Divorce, and Affidavit to Prove Up the Decree. No remote notarization is allowed. Each case must comply with standing orders specific to the filing county.
Washington
In Washington State, spouses can finalize an uncontested divorce without court appearances if they agree on all terms. Washington uses a simplified filing model, and many counties allow e-signing and remote notarization. We handle all required forms, parenting plans (if applicable), and ensure compliance with your local jurisdiction’s filing requirements.
