How we handle your data (and why it’s safe)

When you work with us, you’re not just filling out forms—you’re entrusting us with personal, often sensitive, information. We don’t take that lightly.

At every stage of your divorce process, we are committed to protecting your privacy, your data, and your dignity. Here’s how we do that—and why you can feel confident choosing us.

Data security: Our top priority

We store and manage all client data using Zoho CRM, one of the most secure customer data platforms in the industry. Your information is protected by:

    • End-to-end encryption: All data is encrypted both in transit (when it’s being sent or received) and at rest (while stored in our system).

    • Restricted access: Only select authorized personnel on our team can access your records, and only when absolutely necessary.

    • Secure backups: Your data is backed up securely and redundantly, ensuring no accidental loss.

    • Audit logs: Every data access is logged for internal tracking and accountability.

Info
We never sell, rent, or share your data with third parties under any circumstances.

Data retention & deletion

We keep your data indefinitely, primarily for your convenience in case you return, request documentation again, or need legal follow-up. However, you have the full right to request deletion of all your data at any time.

If you’d like us to delete your records:

Simply email us at info@newyorkdivorceonline.com with a short request, and we’ll permanently delete all personal information associated with you within 30 days, no questions asked.

We operate in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, New York, Texas, and Washington, and we comply with the applicable data privacy laws in each of these states. While we are not a data broker or large tech company, we take extra steps to voluntarily align with national privacy standards, even in states without comprehensive laws.

New York

Currently, this state does not have its own comprehensive data privacy laws, but we fully comply with federal FTC privacy standards, which require businesses to:

    • Use reasonable safeguards to protect consumer information

    • Avoid deceptive or unfair practices

    • Respond promptly to consumer privacy inquiries or concerns

We voluntarily extend the same high level of protection to our clients in these states as we do in those with stronger privacy laws.

Why clients trust us

We’ve helped thousands of couples through the online divorce process—many of whom were initially hesitant to share sensitive personal details online. But after working with us, they became our most vocal supporters.

We proudly maintain a high average rating on TrustPilot, with hundreds of verified reviews praising:
