Sometimes life doesn’t follow a straight line — and that’s perfectly okay. Whether it was an unexpected event, a change of plans, or simply needing more time to make decisions, it’s not uncommon for clients to pause their online divorce process. That’s why we offer the flexibility to reopen your case within six months, without having to start over from scratch.

If you've previously started an uncontested divorce through our service and stepped away for any reason, you can return at any time within that six-month window. When you’re ready to move forward again, we make it easy to continue. You won’t need to retake the entire questionnaire or re-upload your documents. All of your original answers, messages, and drafts will still be on file. The only step required is to notify our support team and submit a one-time $75-150 reactivation fee (depending on how old the case is).

This fee allows us to restore your case file, review any existing documentation, and ensure your client portal is fully reactivated. From there, you can log in as usual and pick up exactly where you left off — with no need to repeat what’s already been completed.

Reactivating your case is a smooth and client-centered process. Once you decide to return, all you need to do is contact our support team through live chat or email. Let us know that you'd like to reopen your case and provide your full name. If you have your Case ID handy, that can help us locate your file more quickly.

After we receive your request, we’ll check your status to confirm that your case is eligible for reactivation. In nearly all situations, this won’t be a problem — unless your documents have already been filed with the court, in which case the process may have advanced too far to make changes. If your case is still inactive, however, we’ll send you a secure payment link for the $75-150 reactivation fee.

Once your payment is received, we’ll get to work behind the scenes. Within one business day, your account access will be restored, and all previously completed work — including questionnaire answers, uploaded files, and communication history — will be available again. You’ll be able to make any updates needed and continue with the next steps of your divorce at your own pace.

The reactivation fee isn’t just about restoring your access. It also includes a full review of your previous case file. Our team revisits your answers and documentation to ensure everything is still accurate and compliant with Florida law. If any changes have occurred in your personal circumstances or if you need to adjust your answers, you’ll have the opportunity to do so before proceeding.
