Court filing fee

Court filing fee

In every divorce process, there is a mandatory court filing fee that must be paid directly to the courthouse where your divorce is being filed. This fee varies by state and sometimes even by county, but in Florida it is $408. It covers the administrative costs of filing your divorce documents, assigning a case number, and starting your court process.

Please note that this is a government-imposed fee, separate from any payments made to our service. We do not control or set this fee, and payment is required regardless of whether you choose to use our full service or handle the filing yourself. In cases where our service files on your behalf, you will be informed of the exact amount in advance, and we will assist you in making the payment directly to the court using accepted methods such as Zelle or Money Order.
