How do we manage to do everything remotely?

How do we manage to do everything remotely?

InfoThe process is divided into four main stages: Qualification, Document Preparation, Document Notarization, and Court Filing.

1. Drafting the documents

    • Prequalification: Clients begin by clicking “SEE IF YOU QUALIFY” and completing a two-part questionnaire.

    • After completing the questionnaire and making the initial payment ($195 or 2x$99), a Divorce Portal account is created.

    • Clients complete a detailed Interview Questionnaire (Big Questionnaire), upload any required documents, and confirm their answers.

    • Additional data may be requested via email with secure submission links.

    • Once completed, a paralegal reviews the answers. Based on the review, the case is either accepted, conditionally accepted (more info required), or rejected.

    • Upon acceptance and confirmation of payment, documents are drafted.

    • Clients receive a secure link to review and approve each document online, with an option to leave comments for revisions.

2. Divorce documents authorization

    •  Authorization to proceed is confirmed once the Petitioner and Respondent both:

      • Approve drafted documents

      • Sign the Attorney Services Agreement online

      • Complete payment for Virtual Divorce services ($88 per party or $176 total)

3. Signing & Notarizing the divorce documents

    • After approval, documents are locked for editing and prepared for signing.

    • Clients are prompted to digitally sign required forms. Signature-only documents are handled separately from those requiring notarization.

    • Examples of signature-only documents include the Cover Sheet, Notice of Related Cases, and Child Support Worksheet.

    • Remote Online Notarization (RON) is conducted via the BlueNotary platform using Zoom.

    • Clients are queued for appointments (no fixed time), available from 8 AM to 9 PM EST.

    • Identity is verified, and documents are digitally signed in front of the Notary.

    • Separate sessions are held for Petitioner and Respondent.

    • If notarization fails, it is rescheduled. A re-notarization fee of $100 may apply if the case is older than 6 months.

    • Notarized documents are securely stored in pCloud, along with draft and signed versions.

    • Required documents vary depending on whether the case involves children.

4. E-Filing the divorce documents to court

    • Once all documents are signed and notarized, the Petitioner pays the final filing fees ($408 Court Fee + $75 E-Filing Fee). Those fees go directly to the court and are not refundable. Indigent clients may apply for a waiver.

    • Paralegal Assistant ensures all documents and fees are in place and marks the case as ready.

    • Paralegal e-files the case through Lee County’s Clerk Matrix platform.

    • The Court sends confirmation emails with the Case Number and list of filed documents.

    • Additional required documents (Cover Letter and Judgment Proposal) are sent via the Courts Divorce Portal.

    • Case statuses are synchronized, and progress is tracked through our internal CRM.

    • Final judgment typically takes 21–90 days. Once granted, the Court sends final documents to both parties.

    • Our team updates CRM and notifies both Petitioner and Respondent when the divorce is officially granted.
